Our True Market Leader Portfolio is designed to concentrate our investors’ capital in a tightly focused group of 5–10 of the most powerful leading stocks in the market. The portfolio targets companies with explosive earnings and sales growth, dominant positions in their industries, and proven track records of price-performance versus the market. Our goal is straightforward: to capture the outsized gains historically generated by a handful of premier growth companies each market cycle, while adhering to disciplined portfolio and risk management.

Process

Ninety Plus Capital was founded out of a rigorous five-year research period in which we explored, isolated, and quantified the common characteristics of the greatest performing stocks of all time. Leveraging proprietary in-house quantitative models, we identified a focused set of fundamental and technical signals that have historically increased the likelihood of major advances. Building on our findings, we developed our Ninety Plus Stock Ratings, which are the dominant driver of our investment process. These ratings distill our work into a single composite measure designed to highlight companies whose investment profiles closely resemble those of historically powerful winners. In fact, we found that the majority of the best-performing stocks in history ranked in the 90th percentile of our in-house ratings before their major advances—hence the name Ninety Plus Capital.

Philosophy

Our investment philosophy is underpinned by our firm belief that nothing truly new every happens in the stock market. That is - the same fundamental and technical traits have consistently characterized the small handful of stocks that drive each market cycle's gains for decades. We believe that a disciplined, value-added approach to building a portfolio around such companies, paired with rigorous risk management, is paramount to compounding returns ahead of the major indexes.

People

Ninety Plus Capital was founded by Robert Lartigue after more than 10 years in the investment management industry. Prior to founding Ninety Plus, Robert was a Data Scientist on the Coleman Artificial Intelligence (AI) team at Vulcan Value Partners, where he served as the engineering lead for factor research and back testing for a multi-billion-dollar equity portfolio. Before Vulcan, he was an Equity Analyst at Avalon Advisors LLC, a Houston-based investment adviser. Robert holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.
